So what's involved in SEO?

Basic practices of Search Engine Optimisation

The key elements of SEO that we incorporate into every website we build include adhering to XHTML standards, the use of CSS Style sheets, Keyword research, carefully considered Copy Writing, XML site maps and consistent, search engine friendly coding throughout the website.

XHTML standards

When creating individual web pages, it is important to adhere to the Wc3 XHTML standards to make it as easy as possible for the search engines to pick up relevant keywords, links and text tagged to images.

Keyword Research

Good Keyword Research is essential. Words and short phrases that relate to your business should be carefully brainstormed and then inserted in pages where they will have maximum benefit in terms of informing the search engines (and thus your next potential customer) exactly what you offer.

Copy writing

Copy writing is the process that involves including as many relevant keywords and phrases within the text of your website, whilst ensuring the text flows naturally and is appealing to your visitors.

I already have a Website - can it be SEO'd?

Yes. It's always best to build the pages with good SEO in mind from the start, but often a lot can be done without touching too much of the existing coding. In other words, no need to rebuild the site!
